Saying Farewell to the 2016-17 School year

As we say goodbye to the 2016-17 School year, we can look back at what the Pelicans have accomplished in their athletic competitions. For football, the Pels were able to secure a Play-In game vs. Sisters HS. This was a very cold and wet competition. It affected the Pelicans in a negative manner as they fell to the outlays 63-7. In Basketball, the Pelicans were again, able to secure a Play-In game this time Vs. Sutherlin. Klamath Union was homered by the officiating crew as they sent the same player (Who has a 98% free throw shooting percentage) to the foul line 19 times. While the entire Pelicans squad, shot only 22 foul shots in the game. Craig Ronee and the KU golf team were able to place second at state. Ronee taking individual honors for the lowest score. Baseball was able to defeat the number one team in the state, Henley in the first year and showed some major improvements in the season, but were unable to make it past the regular season.

Overall, a decent year for Klamath Union Athletics. Our summer basketball, football, and baseball programs are under way. And fall practices are going to kick off during the last week of August. And our fall sports will begin in September.

From all of us at the Klamath Union Athletics office, have a safe and fun filled summer!
